New York University offers a Masters in Science in Fundraising and Grantmaking. With core classes such as Theory of Fundraising, electives like Marketing for Non-Profits, and capstone projects, the curriculum is comprehensive. If fundraising for the non-profit sector interests you, consider learning more about the Heyman Center.
Ruthellen Rubin leads a class on non-profit technology and invited CauseVox and Jenni Schwartz, a graphic designer, to present. A friend of ours and consultant to non-profits and philanthropies, Rubin’s had almost twenty years of experience in non-profit fundraising and marketing — and is a true class-act.
We piqued the students’ interest with a sneak peek of our supporter-driven digital fundraising platform, which we’ll launch soon, as well a few success stories. We were encouraged that they asked us more questions about strategy and messaging than questions about the technology; this is a good indicator that technology at its best frees non-profit leaders to think through campaign planning.
We’re here to help non-profits; one more way we’re offering a hand is with a support base of information, an e-center you can turn to as you strategize and communicate your message.
