What are the pros and cons of event fundraising?
On this episode we talk with Tim Spaulding, the president of Freedom 4/24, about how fundraising events can be used to reach new supporters, the pros and cons of event based fundraising, and questions you should consider as you plan your next fundraising event.
After serving as a board member for one year, Tim stepped into the role of President of Freedom 4/24 in November 2012. Tim and his wife, Cindi, have lived overseas and traveled extensively, contributing to their awareness of and dedication to eradicating the sexual exploitation and trafficking of women and children. This awareness and desire to see justice and restoration for victims of human trafficking motivated Tim to earn a law degree from the Regent University School of Law. While in law school, he published an article examining the systemic problems that contribute to child prostitution in Cambodia.
Prior to leading Freedom 4/24, Tim ran a private practice law firm while also serving as an adjunct professor of law, business, and education at Liberty University. Tim currently serves on the board of directors for Sports Outreach Ministry in Uganda–the organization that overseas the administration of Christine’s House, Freedom 4/24’s rescue home for exploited girls in Gulu, Uganda. Tim and his wife reside in Forest, VA and are the proud parents of three children – two boys and a girl.
